Dreams in Inca Tradition

The Incas used the Quechua word muscoy ("to dream") for prophetic dreaming. Dreams were messages from huacas (sacred places and objects) and from ancestors. The Inca ruler (Sapa Inca) had special dream advisors who interpreted his dreams as matters of state.
